Meet Milo, an affectionate 18-month-old Great Dane in search of a foster or foster-to-adopt home after the passing of his beloved owner.

A gentle giant with a big heart, Milo is full of love and personality. Upon greeting new humans, he enthusiastically barks, offering a unique and endearing “chest jump” to establish contact, as if to say he’s ready for a connection. Though it seems he hasn’t had many toys in his past, he’s more than eager to engage and immerse himself in play, showcasing his joyful and affectionate nature.

Milo greets people with curious sniffs.  His soft, wiggly demeanor and intent eye contact reveal a deep yearning for companionship, making it clear that he thrives on love and attention. While Milo can be a bit pushy, he also displays the ability to redirect his excitement to nearby distractions, demonstrating intelligence and adaptability that will make training a rewarding experience.

Currently, Milo lives with two smaller dogs, respect is a part of his nature—he knows how to listen and respond to their cues, navigating interactions with a gentle touch. Though a bit rowdy at the beginning of playtime, his friendly persistence is never aggressive; instead, it’s endearing as he finds ways to engage while being mindful of his little companions. While he hasn’t enjoyed regular walks or leash training, Milo has been great at playing in the backyard, often curiously watching two German Shepherds next door. This gentle curiosity indicates that with the right guidance and exposure, Milo will easily adapt to new routines and environments.

Milo’s journey requires someone who is patient and understanding, willing to provide the care and companionship he needs to flourish in his next chapter.
