Boomer

Hi! My name is Boomer. At about 1 year old, I’ve spent most of my life outside, tied up. That was until the good folks at DiD took me in and placed me in my current foster home!

Surprisingly enough,  I LOVE people!! My foster mom says she doesn’t think I have a met a person that I don’t like and I warm up right away to new faces. I love running in my foster mom and dad’s back yard (especially if there is a big stick to play with). No stick? No problem – stuffed animals, Kongs and rope keep me equally amused but I’m not a fan of hoses with water spraying. I love to go on walks and, while I am not quite a perfect walker, I am getting much better at listening and walking on one side. I haven’t played with other dogs but my foster mom says I seem to like them so a slow introduction would be best. I have not been exposed to children or cats in my foster home, so I’m not sure how I would be with either. I do well in my crate over night but don’t like to be left alone too long during the day. What can I say? I miss my people. I am like a ray of sunshine. Speaking of sunshine, I think it’s absolutely grand to be able to lay in the back yard on a nice day and soak up those rays. The only thing that I like better is CUDDLES, CUDDLES and more CUDDLES with my people.
