Annual Dane-a-Thon ~ Sunday May 5, 2019
We are again asking Dane-a-Thon participants to get sponsorship from friends and family or simply make a donation. Your generosity helps support the many Great Danes we rescue who are desperately in need of help and makes it possible to save those who would otherwise be euthanized because of prohibitive costs to get them well.
Event Date: Sunday, May 5, 2019 – Rain or shine!
Start Time: 11 a.m.
Location: PARIS FAIRGROUNDS, 139 SILVER STREET, PARIS, ON
Admission Fee: For those who do not have Pledge sheets – $10 per person (8 y-o or older).
No charge for Children under 8, and/or those with Pledge Sheets of $40 (or more).

The event will include:
- Sales Table
- Bake Sale
- 50-50 Draw
- Nail Clipping booth and
- Silent Auction will all be available throughout the event.
Food, water and beverages will be available.
Awards for the 3 highest pledge amounts, furthest traveled participant, Youngest and Oldest Great Dane.
A Veterinarian (Dr. Ken Burgess) and St. John Ambulance will be in attendance.
Toilet facilities are available.
BRB K9 Team will be available throughout the events to monitor dog behaviour and provide training tips.
They will stage a mini dog show, Agility training, one-on-one training and Great Dane races with lots of awesome prizes to be won.

Sequence of Activities
11:00 am – Event Start – Registration, All Booths open and 50-50 raffle tickets available.
11:45 am – Opening Remarks
12 noon – Group walk starts. Please arrive early to participate in all the dog activities, including the group walk, after which the dogs can cool off in an onsite pond. BBQ – Open.
1:30 pm – Prize Awards for 3 Highest Pledge amounts; Oldest & Youngest Dane present; furthest traveled group/individual.
2:15 pm – 50/50 Ticket Sales – closed
2:30 pm – Silent Auction Bidding closes. Distribution of Silent Auction Items to highest bidders.
2:45 pm – All Booths – closed
3:00 pm – Clean up, dis-assembly of equipment (VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to help), dispersal.
For Golf enthusiasts: We will be hosting our 5th Golf tournament in the Chatham area in mid summer. Watch for our posting about this event after the Dane-a-Thon!!
